Saturday, June 6, 1:00-4:00 p.m. (refreshment break included)

An incredible opportunity! Mark your calendar. For years, we have benefitted from the scholarship of Dr. Paul Wee, scholar, writer, human rights advocate, many years serving with the Lutheran World Federation.

It’s time to hear his first hand proclamations of how the folly/foolishness of the cross of Jesus Christ changes lives and countries around the world.

Lean in and listen to six vignettes, never heard before, from his personal journey of peacemaking, about how the Holy Spirit has changed lives, communities, and countries – strength in weakness, power in vulnerability.

• How did a simple liturgical act on a sandy plain contribute to the freedom struggle in Namibia

• How did a vulnerable baby help to create reconciliation between Muslims and Christians in Nigeria

• How did a simple confession break the vicious circle of antagonism and help to end twenty-six years of civil war in Guatemala

• How did a risky venture into North Korea contribute to a plan that could bring peace with that country

• How did a public acknowledgement of error created a climate of trust and reconciliation in Germany

• How a moment of prayer in a tent in the Negev desert bring helpful insight into the Palestinian—Israeli conflict
